Students who had shown a positive attitude towards learning during the spring term were invited on the Humanities Super Learning Day to Bolton Abbey.
Students got to view the spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and really throw themselves into doing something a little bit of out of their comfort zone during the 3 mile walk. Students took part in the ‘Welly Walk’ which involved a range of muddy activities including scrambling, rope walking, tree climbing and jumping the wooden steps.
The day gave students the opportunity to see what they had learnt about in the classroom for real, such as river meanders, religious buildings and historic environments. Whilst in the priory grounds, students were very respectful and inquisitive as they looked at the architecture and history behind the building.
Fun was had by both teachers and students.
