Enrichment Sessions In Business Studies
Our Year 10 students have had some interesting sessions in Business Studies over the last 2 weeks. These sessions were led by Caroline Plum, our school's enterprise link.
The session on Domestic Budgeting was very interactive and the students found it very fun and eye opening.
Below are some of the comments from the students:
- I didn't really know my phone is a monthly cost for my parents, as I am on pay as you go.
- I did good by saving more than others. But it was not all in my control.
- Should I risk £15 on entering a competition with a chance of winning £40?
- This gave us a new understanding of real-life money management.
This session then led to a session on how to set up a micro business. Students covered what's required to start your own enterprise, how to estimate costs of a micro business and working out cost of production.
