Beckfoot Trust is an organisation that links a group of local Bradford schools together so that they can collectively improve the life chances for young people within their schools. Our aim is to create a group of truly remarkable schools each with a genuine comprehensive intake. They will be wonderful places for young people to learn and grow up in. We want to make a difference. We want to create something special.

Grand Re-opening of the library & Unveiling of the J.B. Priestley windows

On Wednesday, 12th January 2022,  the school library re-opened after almost two years of closure. Throughout the day students from all year groups attended sessions to get to know the library and the librarian. They learnt how to find different types of books and took part in quizzes to put what they had learnt into practiceAfter school some of the library assistants attended the JB Priestley Memorial event and spoke to JB Priestley’s step-son. The JB Priestley Society presented the library with three of JB Priestley’s books. 

Staff and students attended the JB Priestley window unveiling ceremony and were joined by guests from Beckfoot Trust, the J.B. Priestley Society, Bradford Antiquarian Society and our local councellor.
