Naz Shah (MP) visited Beckfoot Upper Heaton school earlier this month to speak to our Year 10 girls. She gave a tremendous and very moving speech about her own arduous struggles growing up and her successful journey in becoming an MP.

She also spoke to our girls about having high aspirations, resolute determination and the importance of education and hard work in becoming successful. Students (and staff) were both left totally inspired and in awe of Naz's life journey and her overall message. Our girls were really appreciative of Naz attending and had lots of questions for her afterwards! What an amazing inspirational woman !
