Beckfoot Trust is an organisation that links a group of local Bradford schools together so that they can collectively improve the life chances for young people within their schools. Our aim is to create a group of truly remarkable schools each with a genuine comprehensive intake. They will be wonderful places for young people to learn and grow up in. We want to make a difference. We want to create something special.

Yorkshire Asian Young Achievers

Mohammed Ali OBE, founder and chief executive of QED Foundation, and Adeeba Malik CBE DL Deputy Chief Executive, QED Foundation, invited our Headteacher, Graeme Wrightson, to the Yorkshire Asian Young Achievers Awards (YAYAs 2022) Gala Dinner on Friday, 11th November 2022.

The YAYAs 2022 is organised by QED Foundation in association with York St John University and other sponsors, to recognise the achievements and contributions of young people of South Asian background, in all walks of life, in the Yorkshire region.

Speakers included Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire, Kersten England CBE, Chief Executive of Bradford Council and Professor Karen Bryan OBE, Vice Chancellor of York St John University.

The evening was hosted by Noreen Khan, presenter at the BBC Asian Network.
