Mr B K Dey: Headteacher
Mr Dey has held several key senior leadership roles since 2011. He has considerable experience in leading school evaluation. Mr Dey has led significant whole-school priorities in quality of education, pastoral care, behaviour, curriculum development and Teaching and Learning. Mr Dey secured his National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) in 2010.
Mr Dey views Headship as a privileged opportunity to work creatively with colleagues to bring about effective change with a moral purpose; to enable positive impact to take place each day and for students to achieve their goals. Every student deserves the best possible learning and teaching experiences, together with sound professional guidance and a wider appreciation of the local, national and international challenges they will face throughout their lifetime; thus, young people become well qualified, emotionally intelligent and skilled to progress in their chosen fields.
Mr Dey is a forward thinking, conscientious, determined and resilient leader who takes immense pride in providing the best opportunities to those that have the least. He believes that every student, regardless of their backgrounds, should have the highest standard of education.
Mr Dey is delighted to have an opportunity of working in close partnerships with the whole community at Beckfoot Upper Heaton.
