Art & Design
Welcome to the Beckfoot Upper Heaton Art Department, an exciting and creative environment where you will learn a broad and varied curriculum.
Students are encouraged to be confident, reflective and inquisitive through an engaging programme of high quality teaching and learning. We expect all students to have aspirational and ambitious targets which will be developed through experimentation, refining ideas and developing outcomes.
Our facilities include specialised equipment for ceramics, a Textile room, ICT suite and access to Design and Technology including a state of the art laser cutter and 3D printer. All students’ benefit from a well-equipped classroom and an extensive range of specialist art equipment and materials.
Artwork is displayed throughout the school, on the website and on the school Twitter account clearly demonstrating the quality of work produced.
